The iEXPO, supported by Prospect Leicestershire, inspires, motivates and equips businesses to compete successfully through innovation.

It brings together businesses and the support needed to turn ideas in to new products and services. By becoming more innovative, businesses can become more profitable and sustainably successful.

The 2010 iEXPO will take place on 12th March at Athena in Leicester. Specialist business and innovation advisers will be present to help with access to innovation related funding, knowledge and skills. All your questions will be answered!

The programme will also include:

  • Inspirational and motivational speakers, including Richard Noble OBE, the innovator who held the land speed record between 1983 and 1997 and was Project Director of the Thrust Supersonic Car (SSC)
  • East Midlands companies that have made new profits through innovation
  • Last Business Standing competition – the opportunity to win a bespoke package of intensive innovation support.

The event is free to attend, but places are limited. Please register by clicking on the appropriate link above.

Following in the footsteps of Piccy Products Ltd, the 2009 winners of Last Business Standing who will also be attending the 2010 iEXPO, attendees have the opportunity to pitch their ideas or existing operations to a range of advisers who will be situated in our themed 'market place', with street performers adding atmosphere to this fun session.

Participants will be asked to make short pitches to a number of different advisers. Pitches will be scored by each adviser, with the highest score winning the day by becoming the Last Business Standing. More details will be forwarded to delegates on this following their registration.

The winner of Last Business Standing will receive a suite of innovation support services which will start during the iFestival and they will also be invited to the iFestival Dinner on the 22nd April 2010, to demonstrate what can be achieved through innovation.
